Home Office Statistical Bulletin

£7.50
Headline findings on average response times, by type of fire, are included in the quarterly Fire and Rescue Incident Statistics. This release, therefore, provides more detailed analysis of the already published fire response times for the year ending March 2022 to 2023.

As well as a recap of the average response times to fires in the year ending March 2023, the release provides further analysis of response times by Fire and Rescue Authority (FRA) type, response time components, the distribution of response times by one-minute bands and response times and outcomes.

Additionally, commentary on trends in FRA vehicle incidents is included within this release. The data for this is sourced from an annual data collection exercise to all services to identify the number of vehicles involved in accidents in the previous year.

The statistics on response times to fires are sourced from the Home Office’s online Incident Recording System (IRS).
