An explanation of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition’s recommendations about sugars and health

£5.00
The government asked the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) to provide clarification on the relationship between dietary carbohydrates (sugars, starches and fibre) and health in the light of new evidence that has emerged since the last review over 20 years ago. In June 2014 a draft report was published for a public consultation. A revised, final report was published in July 2015.

This publication has been prepared by Public Health England to explain these recommendations and provide guidance to the public.
